ABOUT IZZAT FOR HER

Her dignity
belongs to her.

A youth-led movement making menstrual dignity more practical, more open and more normal.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Education removes stigma.
Access removes barriers.

Why education and access belong together.

Knowing what a period is does not help if a product is unavailable. A stocked basket does not erase the shame that can make someone afraid to use it.

Izzat For Her connects both sides of the issue. Education helps people ask questions, recognize misinformation and support one another. Access means products exist in the real places periods happen-and that someone is responsible for keeping them there.

The goal is not to speak for everyone who experiences period poverty. It is to listen, work with communities, and help create practical systems that protect dignity and participation.

Izzat
For Her.

THE NAME

“Izzat” is commonly associated with honour, dignity and respect across South Asian cultures. Izzat For Her takes a word associated with honour and centres that honour where it belongs: in the dignity, agency and wellbeing of girls and women.

That means access to basic necessities, learning about bodies without shame, participating fully in everyday life and speaking openly about menstruation. It is a thoughtful reclaiming-not a rejection of culture, but a commitment to care within it.
